Zipper fresh · No plastic
Sealed fresh. Never in plastic.
Freshness and the planet usually pull in opposite directions. We packed for both: a press-to-seal zipper on every pouch, and glass, kraft, jute and tin instead of plastic.
Why a zipper matters
Ground spices lose aroma every time air gets in, and monsoon moisture brings lumps and insects. A press-to-seal zipper keeps each pack closed between uses, so the last spoon of garam masala smells like the first.
- Press along the zipper from one end to the other until it clicks shut
- Squeeze out the air before sealing
- Use a dry spoon, and keep packs away from the stove
